Sneak Peak @ Baby Boy's Room!

My Dad has been working super hard on Christopher's Space room! It's so perfect! It's only about 98% done (minus decorations and furniture) so I can't show you the whole thing yet...but here are some sneaks!

The light blue walls and bright white bead board!
The bright white bead board and chestnut floors!

I did some paintings for his room on 11x14 canvas. I love them!

The alien will go above his light switch plate next to the door. I did this one to remind him that no matter how the world sees him (even if it's as a 5 eyed alien), I think he's cute.
The following 3 will be hung together over the biggest wall.
He is my sunshine! I know he will brighten my day and my mood so I thought I would remind him of this!
He already is my everything! I love you Christopher!
Love this phrase...not so much how it turned out, but hopefully he'll get the idea!

His closet was my next project. My dad painted it in the light blue color and I organized his wee little baby clothes!

This ranges from Newborn-2T

And we added these super cute closet door knobs! They were kinda pricey, $8...but so worth it!

Last, but not least...his BEDDING!!!
I have loved this bedding since before I was pregnant. It's so cute and sweet but still super fun! And definitely BOY!

ROCKET SHIPS!!!!

The striped fabric is the crib skirt.

It's going to come together so nicely! My dad and I have to finish the shoe moulding which is the piece that goes between the floors and the baseboards. And then we just order furniture and   wah-la!
So excited!

I had an appointment with the midwife today. I'm up to 163 pounds! BP was 120/77 which is great! And my blood work came back perfect! No Gestational Diabetes! woot-woot!
She even said my diet must be incredible because everything was perfect. Haha! I eat gummies and tatortot casserole but okay!

The only red flag was this: My blood type is O positive. When they took my blood they noticed antibodies. This could means that Christopher's blood and mine are not compatible and that my body could think he's an infection and fight him as such. So, the lab investigated further and this is not the case! yay! Why the antibodies...I don't know. I should have asked.

So, really, there are no red flags and his heartbeat and measurements are right on track. He's doing perfect! He should go to the head down position in the next few weeks. And...they gave me my list of things to get for the home birth! Everything from sheets and baby clothes to olive oil and pads! I am so excited and nervous! Full term is at 36 weeks and I'm at 29w3d! He's on his way! :)

I love you CBH!

scratch that!

My Dad found and fixed my camera! 30 minutes ago I was headed down Emotional Lane (I think I live there) and now, life is good again! :)

So, here it is....29 weeks!

It has not been the greatest day...so to avoid proof of a tired, swollen, and tear-stained face, we went with the belly only shot. :)

Thanks Daddy!

Camera-less...

Christmas of 2007 I got a camera. Maybe is was 2008. It was nothing crazy, just a digital camera that was blue and amazing! This year, (well, 2011) it quit working. boo! So, I put it to the side and thought, I'll deal with it later. Well, I have been looking for it for 2 weeks now and I'm convinced it's gone forever. Which means, how will I update bump pictures? How will I take pictures of baby C?

I am so frustrated right now! I want my camera back!

Any thoughts of which one I should get to replace it would be greatly appreciated. I am clueless in anything technical.

What's in the box?

Can I just say that I love the hoarding shows? I find myself so fasinated that people actually live this way! The bugs freak me out, but everything else is is interesting. I can literally "waste" my whole day watching a maraton of "Buried Alive". However, I find myself with the urge to clean and organize everything in sight. Maybe it's nesting, but it really kicks into high gear when there is a lady on the show with a million empty 12 packs of pepsi.

There are also shows about people who weigh 600 pounds and have not gotten out of their bed for years. This also peaks my interest. How do people feel if they have been in the same place for 4 years not moving? I would have the worst cabin fever. That would seriously drive me to insanity. I catch myself sitting down to a show like this with a bowl of ice cream and by the 2nd commercial, I have apple slices in my lap instead. I guess that's a good thing, but I love ice cream too!

I need to not let TV influence me as much as it has been lately. I do not hoard and I do not weigh too much. I am 7 months pregnant...I don;t need to be organizing the household cleaners or limiting my candy craving. Okay, maybe I do need to limit my candy craving! :)

Point B

I have to get caught up so I'm going to do the best I can. If you make to the end of this post...you get a gold star! It might be a little disorganized but I will try to be as clear minded as possible!

It all started on July 27, 2011...
It's positive!

I guess this would be a good spot to tell the story of how I found out about my new love!

**DETOUR: When I was a teenager, I was told that I would have an extremely hard time getting AND staying pregnant. I was convinced it wouldn't happen for me. I was also amazed that I had a first normal period in months on July 1st. It was totally out of left field. So when I had some spotting on the 17th, I chalked it up to the return of irregular periods. I was also on the pill and had been for years. I wasn't trying to get pregnant by any means but I have always wanted nothing more than to be a mommy and with every complication, no matter the timing, I was devastated. It was a reminder that the road to my dream would be a bumpy one.

So, when I noticed my body was changing and growing out of nowhere (I'm not complaining!) I was a little curious but just thought another (hopefully) period was on it's way. My Daddy was joking that I may be pregnant. I kept telling him he was full of crap that there was no way that it was even possible. So after lots of pleading from him to just take a test, We bought a 2 pack at Target on the 26th of July. So, the next day, Wednesday, the 27th of July, I peed on a stick expecting a negative.

My Dad and I were talking casually waiting the eternal 2 minutes when I grabbed it, flipped it over, and saw a BRIGHT and OBVIOUS blue plus sign. I think I sad "Oh my Gosh" about a hundred times. My dad grabbed it and looked at it and said the same thing. I got teary eyed and thought about what this meant. Although some of the circumstances were not ideal, I was really excited about having a child and being a Mom.
Oh my GOSH!!!

I am so inlove with my belly. As excited as I am for him to get here and to meet him, I am going to miss him moving in my belly like a jello alien. I'll miss his hiccups and squirms. But it will be nice to be able to take a deep breath again. I said it a few days ago and I'll say it again...As hard as it is to breathe with him in my belly. I know it would be even harder to breathe without him.
