34 weeks and loving it!!!!

The  most amazing crochet-ing lady is having a BOGO free sale! It is from March 2nd-March 9th. It's easy...order a hat, and get a 2nd one free. She is awesome too!  Beary-Cute-Crochet <-- this is her Facebook page but she also has an Etsy shop here. I'll be honest, I think her FB is a much easier way to get to her.

Christopher should have some new hats soon! I'm holding out for the sale though!

I had a baby shower with all of my Tallahassee loves and it was amazing! Melissa did such a great job! I didn't bring my camera...curses! But, someone else did so there should be pics floatong around here soon! Also, my Jacksonville shower is on SATURDAY and I could not be more excited. I can't wait to see what my aunt and mama put together!

I can't believe I'll be 35 weeks on FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only 2 weeks until I'm full term....kinda scary but so, so good!

33 Weeks

So, this post is super late and I'm sorry for being so behind. I was trying to hold out for the maternity pictures that I took on Monday, Feb. 20th. I've only gotten one back so far but more are coming!!!

How amazing is this! Lacey Smith did such a good job!
Anyway, I will post more as I get them. SO excited!

How far along? 33 Weeks
Total weight gain: It's hard to say because the scale at the midwife's office reads 4-5 pounds more than my scale at home. My starting weight was taken on the scale at home so we'll go off of that...I was 132.8 when I found out and am now 164.8... +32 pounds which is perfect according to the midwife! :)Maternity clothes? maternity all the time...Nothing else will do! (Except basketball shorts or sweats)
Stretch marks? I found it....so sad.
Sleep: I'd give it a B-
Best moment this week: Seeing all of the progress on his room! Almost done! but mostly...maternity pictures with the amazing Lacey Smith!
Miss Anything? running...I really wanted to run the other day and I couldn't.
Movement: ALL the time! LOVE IT! He is very active!
Food cravings: fruit, peanut butter, candy, smoothies, and tator tot casserole
Anything making you queasy or sick: coffee and sea food. most meats.
Gender: BOY! Christopher Blake!
Labor Signs: Nope...just some BH contractions!
Symptoms: shortness of breath when he's laying just right, lots of gas, and exhaustion.
Belly Button in or out? Innie
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! but I still have moments...
Looking forward to: Finishing his room. and my SHOWER!!!! and seeing the pictures!

Everything is still super! He's doing awesome, head down, and all the signs point to a healthy and happy birth! I have decided that instead of a home birth, I will be having Christopher at the birth center. I was really torn about this decision but in talking with my Dad, birthing class teacher, and midwife, it really is what's best for CB and I. It will still be 100% natural and the birth center is amazing. it's like having a baby at your grandma's house LoL!
Fruitful Vine is where I am delievering. This is where I go for all of my apt's and the birth center is there as well!

32 Weeks

32 weeks & 3 days

Front View

This week has been crazy good! We ordered his furniture! FINALLY! It should be here in 7-14 days. We got it from Babies R Us and thank goodness we did. I can not even begin to explain the amount of stress Burlington was putting on me. It was a fight every time I asked them anything. I cried on the phone with them, yelled at some people, called corporate, found 3 sets I liked, decided against the 3 sets....whew. All I got was a 15% off coupon that I will NOT use because they don't deserve my business. They had a sale on some of their furniture so I figured it was worth a shot. I went in and they said, "That's discontinued. That's discontinued. That's discontinued." REALLY!!?!?!
Then why is on the floor? Then, the 3rd set I liked was a 13-15 week delivery date. Christopher is due in less than 8!!! So the man went to see if he could get a rush on it and he came back to tell us that set was back ordered and to plan on a 20 week wait at least and that was all he could tell us. Cool. Thanks dude.

That furniture shopping wore me out. We went to Babies R Us and they said, "Sure, no problem. It'll be here in 7-14 days and here's a $100 gift card for spending as much as you did." LOVE!!!

Other than the crib drama, I've just been working and lovin' on this baby belly. This was an off week for the midwife so no apt update until next week.

Quiz time...

How far along?: 32 Weeks

Maternity clothes?: YES! They finally tempted me to go get 2 more shirts and 2 pairs of shorts for less than $30! That was probably the last bit of maternity shopping that I'll have to do...so sad! :(
Stretch marks? Only 2 tiny ones on my mommy bottles LoL
Sleep: great! except for the 6 pee breaks in the middle of the night!
Best moment this week: Finally ordering his furniture, and my colostrum coming in! LOL!
Miss Anything?: Breathing like a normal person & a bathing suit that fits!
Movement: Lots and lots.
Food cravings: Soy milk, fruit snacks, and cookies (gluten free)!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Just the Seafood dept. of Publix and the smell of cat food.
Gender: Boy!
Labor Signs: None. Just some Braxton Hicks. I thought I lost my mucus plug but I didn't! Scared me half to death though! - (TMI? sorry!)

31.5 Week Update

Went to the see my midwife today! I seriously love that place. Things were super backed up today because a baby was being born and so my usual 15 minute wait turned into an hour. Luckily, I had some Tropical Smoothie to occupy myself! :)

I weigh 161 pounds. That's crazy to me! I remember gasping at 140 and then again at 150. When I hit 160, I quit caring. Weight gain so far is +29!! Still, it's all baby! :)

Blood Pressure was good and all my numbers are still "perfect". I don;t think they know I eat 24/7 and it's sometimes a lot of times, crap food. I try to eat healthy for the sake of Christopher. But sometimes, I crave cheese-tots from Sonic or an ICEE from the gas station! LoL!

Best news today was...he is head down! I knew I felt him flip! The midwife (Hope) said that he'll probably stay that way but if he doesn't, we will talk about exercises, chiropractic care, and stretches to help him flip back.

His heart rate is great and we're just counting down the days now...[ 60! ]

31 Weeks

I can't believe I'm 31 weeks! I find myself saying very frequently, "What is he DOING in there?" It often feels like he is doing jumping jacks or hula hooping. Silly boy.
This IS what he's doing:

"This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy."

Quiz Time!

How far along?: 31 Weeks
Total weight gain: +27 lb.
Maternity clothes?: Love them. Still wanna go to the sale though...they keep tempting me with emails!
Stretch marks? None! yay!
Sleep: haha...funny. :/
Best moment this week: Felling him turn...I think!
Miss Anything?: Breathing like a normal person
Movement: Lots and lots <3.
Food cravings: Soy milk. I drank a half gallon today by myself! and no tummy troubles!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Just the Seafood dept. of Publix.
Gender: Boy!
Labor Signs: None. Just some Braxton Hicks
Symptoms: Still some pressure on my sciatic nerve. Shortness of breath and peeing every 5 minutes.
Belly Button in or out? In...for now.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy :)
Looking forward to: buying more soy milk

I'm going to rant a little bit here:
Pregnant woman don't want to be called fat, but I also don't like being called "small". It makes me feel like the person doesn't think I'm doing a very good job. I know I'm not HUGE, but this is big for me. I'm proud of my belly. I love my curves and the things this pregnancy is doing for my butt and front.
I especially love (sarcasm) when people who have NO kids and have NEVER been pregnant say, "Wow, you sure are small for 30 weeks." They don't realize that I'm over 6 feet and my baby has more room to stretch than most. They don't understand that depending on how he is laying, his position can affect my size. You are not my doctor and I didn't ask you to critique my belly size.
Also, when I tell you I'm having a home birth and planning on breastfeeding, I don't need your uneducated opinions on that either. A lady at work told me I was crazy because "now-a-days, you can just get a C-section and tummy tuck all in one shot." Yeah, cause that's important. Some other stranger reminded me that I could die at home having a baby. (I could also die in a crash rushing to the hospital) She said everybody needs to be at a hospital because that's how she did it and both of her kids turned out fine.
Someone told me that breastfeeding was" not natural and that those boobies are for your man, not your baby." Really? Maybe this is all hormones talking and I'm the crazy one, but I just think there has to be a better way to express your opinions.

This post is a day early because the next several days are going to be BUSY BUSY BUSY!
